About our Guest:
Dr. Holland is a full time Emergency Medicine Physician with Carson Tahoe Emergency Physicians in Carson City, NV. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and EMS. Dr. Holland currently serves as the EMS Medical Director for Carson City Fire Department, Central Lyon Fire Protection District, and Carson City Sheriff's Office SWAT. He earned his Medical Doctorate and Masters of Public Health degrees from University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed Emergency Medicine Residency and EMS Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine. He currently serves as Chair of the ACEP EMS Section and Physician Advisor for the Advanced Cardiac Resuscitation Consortium. Dr. Holland has been involved in EMS in different capacities for 14 years. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends while camping, skiing, hiking, and traveling. He lives in Reno with his wife and their 3 young children.

Joe Powel
Joe is a retired EMS Chief from Rialto Fire Department in California with over 40 years in the fire service and is also the founder of Advanced Cardiac Resuscitation. Joe also sits on the ACR advisory Board as the chairman. Joe believes nothing trumps compressions, nothing! Joe's goal for our industry is to get to 50.1% neurological survival from cardiac arrest by 2030.
